Please join us at Highlander on Saturday, April 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to help prepare our gardens for the spring.

Members of the Good Karma Gardening Circle and other friends of Highlander will be here, working on the gardens at the office, the Horton House, and possibly the library.

Activities will include: weeding, pruning, planting, clearing plant debris, digging, and mulching. Please bring gloves and gardening tools if you have them.

Donations of low-maintenance native plants would also be appreciated. Highlander is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, so all contributions are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

We will have lunch at the Workshop Center with participants in a Singing and Song-Sharing Workshop that will be going on that weekend.

Please feel free to come any time on the 12th, for a short or long period! It would help, though, if you could let us know if and when you might be coming.

If you will be joining us for lunch, please be sure to RSVP so we know how many people to expect.

For more information, or to RSVP, contact Charlie Biggs (Highlander) at charlie@highlandercenter.org or 865-933-3443 x242, or Rosalind Hackett (GKGC) at rhackett@utk.edu or 865-588-1562.

Directions to Highlander are available online at www.highlandercenter.org/a-directions.asp. If you haven't been to Highlander before, please be sure to print out the directions. It can be difficult to find us without them.

When you arrive at Highlander, drive up the hill to the office, the first building on the right. If there is no one there, drive up the hill past the Workshop Center, through the parking lot, and then bear right at the fork to the Horton House at the very top of the hill. If you arrive at lunchtime, go directly to the Workshop Center dining room.

If you need directions or other assistance on the 12th, call Charlie's cell-phone: 865-310-2356.

Thanks and best wishes,

Rosalind Hackett
