Boston House Party
October 30, 2005
On October 30, 2005, Highlander held a house party in Cambridge, MA. with special guest Congressman John Lewis. Congressman Lewis first came to Highlander in the 1950s and 1960s during the Civil Rights movement.
Nearly 100 Highlander supporters attended the party, which included an introduction by Howard Zinn, a talk by Congress Lewis, cultural sharing by Highlander's cultural organizer Tufara Waller Muhamad, and an update on Highlander's work by Interim Director (now Director) Pam McMichael.
